How Automatic Notifications and Alerts Work in Elimu Bora

Elimu Bora sends automatic in-app and email notifications for key school activities. No setup required — here’s what to expect and how to view them.

Elimu Bora keeps every stakeholder informed without any manual work. When something important happens — a student is absent, an invoice is overdue, or an event is coming up — the system automatically sends a notification to the right person through two channels: in-app and email. You don’t need to configure anything for notifications to work.

Notification channels

In-app notifications appear inside Elimu Bora. Click the bell icon in the top navigation bar to open your notification panel. Unread notifications appear highlighted so you can spot them quickly.

Email notifications are delivered to the email address associated with your account. All emails come from [e-mail].

Add [e-mail] to your contacts or email allowlist to prevent Elimu Bora notifications from being filtered into your spam or junk folder.

Academic

Viewing in-app notifications

Click the bell icon in the top navigation bar to open your notification list. Notifications are displayed in order of newest first. Unread notifications are highlighted. Click a notification to view the details or navigate to the related record.

Email notifications

Email notifications arrive at the address registered on your account. Each email includes a summary of what happened and, where relevant, a link to view more details in Elimu Bora. Payment receipts include a downloadable PDF of the receipt directly in the email.
